Base drum beats can be produced by using the lower body of the guitar. Snare drum beats can be made by hitting just under the sound hole on the body. A rim shot sound can be produced on the side of the guitar and a high-hat sound can be made by clicking the strings against the last fret. The chords used in this song are the E major chord, and a higher E major chord up one octave. First Chord EADGBE progresses: open 14, 16, 13, open, open. Second Chord EADGBE progresses open, 14, 13, 16, open, open. For t,he higher octave chord, your finger placement progresses as such: open, 14, 14, 13, open, open. Practice everything slowly in order to make the harmonic and percussive sounds ring effectively.
